Things you never knew you never knew…

  • 46% – Twitter users under the age of 35, according to YouGov. Users are based mainly in London, tend to vote for left-wing parties and care about civil liberties, the survey found.
  • 21.35 million – Britons with access to superfast broadband by the end of 2012. Point Topic analysed BT’s rollout plans and estimates around 35 per cent of us will have access to 40Mbps-plus services by then
  • 25.6% – Failure rates for HP laptops over three years, according to warranty firm Square Trade. Apple has a 17.4 per cent failure rate, Sony 16.8 per cent and Asus just 15.6 per cent.
  • 19% – Web developers who exceed the recommended 30 minutes of exercise a day, according to Fat Free Fitness. Devs consume an average 10 cups of coffee a day (10?!) and just 14 per cent get there 5 portions of fruit and veg.
